Lead for Children's Continuing Care. Responsibilities included:

  • Continuing Care assessments under the National Framework and monthly panel presentations to the Continuing Care Panel

  • Set up, co-ordination and daily management of continuing care home nursing packages using both NHS providers and private providers such as BUPA. 

  • Co-ordination of hospital discharge for children with complex health needs and acting as the main point of contact and liaison between the children, their families, clinicians and discharge co-ordinators from various London tertiary hospitals such as Great Ormond Street, Guys and St Thomas and Chelsea and Westminster

  • Clinical equipment purchasing

  • Creation, implementation, delivery and management of a new in-house provider service to provide home care packages for children eligible for Continuing Care, including recruitment and staff management of a new team

  • Financial management (working with budgets of up to £2million) inc, purchasing, invoices, spot purchases, project tenders, book keeping and spreadsheet/budget control

  • Submission of regular budget reports monitoring spend to date and annual financial forecasts
